Clouds And Canyons, Vol. 4 became the fourth official release from Flock From Spokane in 2013 and was, to this point, the most ambitious of the series. Volume 4 was originally recorded in the same sessions between 2007-2011 that spawned the first three releases in the series. However, it was re-recorded (along with Volumes 5 and 6) in 2013 and subsequently released for a very short period of time.
The mesmerizing Clouds And Canyons, Vol. 4 is comprised of only two tracks, but the maturity and growth is more evident on this particular installment than any of the others. "Clouds" is a foray into evolving ambient textures that ascend into ambient bliss with droning guitars, acoustic guitar, layered electronics and even an electric piano. The second track, "Canyons" is a darker journey into the depths of a haunting soundscape that seems to fall in and out of form throughout its sprawling thirty-minute metamorphosis.
This is Flock From Spokane at one of its finest and most defining points.
Since its release in 2013, Clouds And Canyons, Vol. 4 has only been available for a short period of time. It is once again available digitally through 21+ Recordings beginning on January 1, 2027.
