The second official release from Flock From Spokane was the second installment of the Clouds and Canyons series and was recorded in Tucson, AZ in 2010 and 2011. Released in August of 2012, Clouds And Canyons, Vol. 2 followed the same trajectory as its predecessor while further expanding on its sound and theme.
The opening track of Clouds And Canyons, Vol. 2 sets the tone as a slightly more mellow and matured expansion of the droning guitars and echoing percussions that defined Volume 1. The wall of sound created is unlike anything else from its time. Clouds And Canyons, Vol. 2 is a sonic tour-de-force of dissonance and melodics working together to create an atmosphere of sound utilizing layers of guitars, pianos, electronics and a myriad of other found sounds.
This amazing palette of dark, ambient drones cemented the sound that Flock From Spokane would expand upon for the remainder of the Clouds And Canyons series.
