The debut LP from Flock From Spokane was released in 2011 and was originally billed as "Clouds And Canyons (for small ensemble - first installment)". Recording on the Clouds and Canyons project started in September, 2007 and concluded in April, 2010.
The Clouds And Canyons sessions produced music that continued to evolve from the primitive noise of October and The Cold Noise of Space EPs. Clouds And Canyons, Vol. 1 delves deeply into the darkest depths of ambient noise with layers of droning guitars, sparse hints of melody, and an ever-evolving use of pianos, electronics and synthesizers.
This collection of sonic dissonance and decaying melodics sets an ominous tone for this series of recordings that would define the Flock From Spokane recording project for several years to come.
