The Cold Noise Of Space was another unofficial release. Most of it was recorded in 2007 with a few scattered recordings from the previous few years. Like October, which was unofficially released the previous year, The Cold Noise of Space was issued on home made CDrs to close friends and a few fans. The original covers were handmade and there were only ten copies produced. Each cover was a unique work of art handmade by Todd Stapleton.
The Cold Noise Of Space was compiled with a few pieces that were recorded between 2005 and 2007 with a few pieces specifically recorded for this EP. The Cold Noise Of Space marked a significant change from its predecessor in that this collection of material was rooted in pure noise, created from guitars, synthesizers and electronics. "There is very little harmony, very little melody and STRUCTURE is virtually nonexistent in these recordings," said Stapleton in the original press release. Hence the name: The Cold Noise of Space.
The Cold Noise Of Space was digitally re-issued for a short period of time in 2012 and again in 2016, both with the modified cover pictured above. It is now out of print and no longer available.
