1. OCTOBER (44:26)
October was an unofficial release. Most of it was recorded in the summer of 2007, with bits and pieces recorded between 2005 and 2007, and then issued on home made CDrs to close friends and a few fans. The original cover featured a reproduction of the above cover, a photograph taken by Todd Stapleton in 2006.
October itself is a single piece of music that is comprised of nine distinct movements. And although its origins trace back to the very beginnings of Flock From Spokane, October marked the beginning of a new musical direction. Whereas the previous material was rooted in ambient guitar, bass and drum oriented music with definitive structures and form, October was a clear tangent from that style. Dark and haunting melodics, with sparse constructs and free-form improvisation with and with an abundance of experimentation. October began the path that Flock From Spokane would traverse for years to come.
October was digitally re-issued for a short period of time in 2012. October is now out of print and no longer available.
